Gilbert, Arizona (May 7, 2025) – IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies with more than 6,600 global properties across 19 brands, today honors Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert, Staybridge Suites Gilbert and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert/Mesa Gateway Airport and its team with 2024 Performance Awards for their outstanding achievements and commitment to upholding IHG’s mission to deliver “True Hospitality for Good” every day. Considered the most prestigious IHG internal honor among the Americas region, the annual Performance Awards recognize hotels for leadership and metrics attainment among several key criteria, including guest service and satisfaction, cleanliness and amplification of the IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
 
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert, AZ, Staybridge Suites Gilbert and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert/Mesa Gateway Airport are one of 696 Performance Awards honorees selected among the organization’s nearly 4,500 regional hotels spanning the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and South America. More specifically, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert, AZ received the Torchbearer award and the Owner/Operator Excellence Award. Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert/ Mesa Gateway Airport received the Sprit of True Hospitality Award.
 
Torchbearer:
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert, AZ received the 2024 Torchbearer award, given to IHG hotels open prior to December 31, 2022 that have achieved “elite” status and exceeded guest experience metric targets.
 
Spirit of True Hospitality Excellence:
Staybridge Suites Gilbert, AZ and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gilbert/Mesa Gateway Airport received the 2024 Spirit of True Hospitality Excellence award, given to IHG hotels open prior to December 31, 2022 that have achieved “elite” status and received cleanliness survey scores of at least 90.
 
Owner and Operator Excellence: Mike & Robin Irvin received the 2024 Owner and Operator Excellence award, given to owners and management companies with three or more hotels that have achieved IHG’s top awards.
